Goa first state to adopt food safety Initiatives
As per the recent news, Goa is the first state adopted by FSSAI (Food Safety and Standards Authority of India) in collaboration with Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for food safety initiatives in the country. As per the FSSAI CEO, Goa being small geographical size and low population could help it become a model state in terms of food safety habits.
FSSAI in its statement said that under this initiative, efforts to make Goa as a model state as far as the safe and nutritious food is concerned. The initiative will focus on safe and nutritious food at home, school, workplace, and other places. Replacing junk food with that of healthy food will be the prime focus under the this initiative
