Center approves the Goa coastal circuit project
Goa gets a boost in development of tourism infrastructure in the state. The Ministry of Tourism, under the Swadesh Darshan Scheme (SDS), has sanctioned 20 crores towards Goa coastal circuit project. This is the first installment for the project. Out of the 25 approved projects across India, Goa gets the highest project sanction amounted to Rs.99.99 crores among all other state.
Under the Swadesh Darshan Scheme (SDS) the project only aims at developing the coastal stretch at Sinquerim-Baga, Anjuna-Vagator, Keri- Morjim, Aguada & Aguada Fort. All of which are the hot spot areas in North Goa and are quite popular among both domestic & foreign tourists visiting Goa.
Sadly South Goa is completely ignored. All this scheme sanction seemed just before the election season starts. Lot of project are getting sanctioned, will they benefit the locals? Will there be sustainable development in future? And above all we wonder is this is enough to mend the broken hearts of all Goans.
