The Black Sheep Bistro – Goa
The culinary horizon is slowing expanding in our state of Goa and how?! It seems as if a new restaurant unfolds every other week and all of these makes its mark in this stiff culinary competition. One such restaurant that been there and enthralling the curious gastronome is The Black Sheep Bistro.
This Portuguese house–styled, tucked away in the cozy by-lanes of central Panjim, slowly made its presence known this past years with innovative, globally inspired & the “Farm to Table” philosophy of menu. Which has received its mentions in some of the leading magazine and blogs. Proudly Goan, but there was no advertising, no fanfare about it and hardly anyone knew what the plain wooden board with the unusual name offered in the middle of Panjim.
The atmosphere inside the Black Sheep Bistro is cozy and generous stash of modern painting marks all the walls around. The scene is intimate and dimly lit and fairly quiet for a restaurant around providing a truly romantic experience.
The menu offers a dazzling array of modern Indian & Continental palate with the occasional Goan influence thrown in the form of taste, ingredient and seasonal supply of fruits and seafood available. Apparently for the seasonally supply available means the menu changes often, offering a multitude of taste experiences. Numerous vegetarian selections (the menu has Shahkari-Pastahari & Mashahari section 🙂 )make the restaurant a perfect fit for a diverse group.
The sitting is limited, hence it’s advised to have a reservation.
