Beating the Summers
Puff!!! The revengeful summers are here with the heat and humidity. Not only is it hot outside but indoors too. The summer is upto sapping all your energy and getting you drained. But, Hey!!! Fear not ….cause here we have a few refreshing ways to keep you cool & summer savvy.
With some of your favorites, instance (fruits & ice-cream) we have some super easy, refreshing and great coolant recipes to beat the summer.
Rose milk with Ice-cream
Soak 1 tablespoon of basil seed (Tukmaria seed) in water and set aside to swell. Combine 3 tablespoon of rose syrup with 3 cups of chilled milk into a vessel. Stir nicely and combine all well.
Now add ice cubes to serving glasses and pour the rose milk leaving some space on the top. Now add the soaked Tukmaria seed along with a dollop of vanilla ice-cream. Garnish with finely chopped almonds or pistachio (optional) to finish the look and relish.
Blend 2 cups of sliced watermelon, 2 teaspoon of sugar, few drops of lemon juice together in a blender until smooth.
Moisten the rim of the glass with lemon. Turn the glass upside down and dip it into salt or sugar. Place ice cubes into glasses and pour smoothie over ice. Voila!!! Your watermelon smoothie is ready.
Strawberry Yogurt Popsicle
Blend 1/2 cup of sliced strawberries along with 1 tablespoon of honey until smooth. Mix 1 cup of yogurt with 1 tablespoon of sugar until smooth.
Spoon 2-3 teaspoons of strawberry puree into bottom of each Popsicle mold. Spoon about 1 ½ tablespoons yogurt on top of puree. Repeat with another layer each of strawberry puree and yogurt. Place popsicle sticks into Popsicle. Cover and freeze until solid, about 2-3 hours. And enjoy your healthy and delicious treat.
